Andy Parkinson

Andy is a wildlife photographer who lives on the fringes of Derbyshire’s Peak District National Park. A passionate conservationist it was his love of the natural world, as well as the potential power of imagery to effect positive change, that first inspired Andy to become a wildlife photographer. Over the last three years he has worked exclusively in the UK, choosing, where possible, to work with a subject over weeks or months. It is by working in this way, by immersing himself as completely as possible in the lives of his subjects that he feels better able to produce images that sensitively reflect the issues that affect them.

To this day the cornerstone of Andy’s motivation remains the desire to try and produce images that can educate and inspire, and so by becoming part of 2020V, working alongside the top professionals in the UK, he hopes that this collaborative effort will become an even more powerful tool for change.
